We want our customers to not only acquire the finest diamonds, but also be able to assess their quality and the market for themselves. Therefore, we not only invest in the training and development of our employees, but also pass on our diamond knowledge to our customers.

Regular training and continuing education are an integral part of our business model. Only those with the appropriate qualifications are authorized to broker investment diamonds. The training programs are structured to ensure we always have the latest knowledge in our industry.

For comprehensive qualification and continuing education, we also make these training programs available to our partners through the Diamond Education Academy (DEA). DEA was founded in 2014 as a training unit of MERCATORIUS AG to end its previous niche existence and successfully bring diamonds to market. Its establishment was necessary primarily because the diamond industry had previously lacked knowledge that could bridge the gap to the financial market. It's a well-known fact that diamonds are popular as jewelry – but for many, even today, it's still unusual that they can enrich an investment portfolio.

The goal of the DEA is to apply the knowledge and experience of the investment industry to diamonds and to disseminate it on a broader basis. This also enables investment advisors to acquire knowledge that enables them to provide investors with sound advice on diamonds as an asset. A bonus is that students can also expand their personal networks through continuing education at the DEA.

The importance of diamonds as an asset has grown so significantly in recent years that these assets have now merged with the digital financial market. However, for many advisors, the question remains as to what requirements a diamond must meet to be considered an investment.
