Die stabilste und härteste Währung der Welt

The following factors influence the quality of diamonds:

Carat weight, color, clarity, and cut quality. These are also referred to as the four Cs, corresponding to the initial letters of the English terms. Cut plays a special role in this, with corresponding effects on the price.

There are also numerous other factors that influence the appearance, quality, and price of diamonds. These include symmetry and proportions, the thickness of the culet and girdle, polish, and the fluorescence of the stone.

Certificates issued by specialized institutes serve as proof of diamond quality. Only three of these laboratories are recognized worldwide. The world's highest authority for diamond grading is the US Gemological Institute of America (GIA). Other globally recognized laboratories are HRD (Hooge Raad for Diamant) and IGI (International Gemological Institute), both based in Antwerp, Belgium.

All diamonds we sell have a GIA certificate. The certificate number is also physically laser-engraved into the stones. Some, upon request, also have HRD or IGI certification. Incidentally, these certificates also contribute to the value of diamonds, as they guarantee the authenticity and quality of the gemstones against tampering and counterfeiting.
